Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 5, 2026

Overview

Keshr is an incident intelligence platform used by community security organizations to record and manage safety and security incident reports. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

This policy covers use of the Keshr website and the reporting line available by text message and WhatsApp at +1 833 858 2039.

Information we collect

When you submit a report — through the website, by text message, or through WhatsApp — we collect the information you choose to share, such as a description of the incident, the date, time, and location, photographs, videos, audio recordings, and any contact details you provide.

When you message the reporting line, we also collect your phone number and the content of your messages so that we can acknowledge your report, assign it a reference number, and follow up if additional information is needed.

Like most websites, we collect standard technical information when you visit, such as your browser type and the pages you view.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to operate the reporting service: to record and review incident reports, to contact you about your report, to prevent misuse of the service, and to maintain the security of the platform.

Keshr is not a marketing service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send promotional or marketing messages through the reporting line.

Who can see reports

Reports submitted to Keshr are visible to authorized personnel of the organization that operates the reporting line — for example, security staff and administrators — and to Keshr personnel who maintain the service.

Some reports may be marked confidential or restricted, in which case access is limited to a smaller group of authorized personnel. Information shared through the reporting line is handled as sensitive and is not published publicly.

We may disclose information when required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, or when necessary to protect someone from imminent harm.

Message frequency and opt-out

Message frequency varies by conversation. You will receive replies from the reporting line only in connection with your report, such as an acknowledgment with a reference number and follow-up questions needed to complete it.

You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier.

Data retention and security

We keep report information for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal requirements. Access to report data is limited to authorized personnel and is protected by access controls, activity logging, and encryption in transit and at rest.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your information has been compromised through Keshr, please contact the organization that operates your reporting line.

Children's privacy

The reporting service is intended for use by the general public and by authorized personnel of participating organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the reporting line. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact the organization that operates the reporting line so it can be removed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date below shows the current version, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
